Rather they should flush in the toilet. The CDSO has issued a guideline regarding this. In which 17 such drugs are mentioned which can cause excessive intoxicating and damage due to misuse.
Most of the drugs that CDSCO has issued to flush the guidelines is pen killers and anti -angels, which fall in the narcotic category. If these medicines are involved in the hands of a wrong person or are consumed by mistake, then it can prove to be fatal. Some people can also use them for drugs. Flushing these drugs is considered right because they do not cause serious harm to the environment. These medicines do not pollute water and do not become much threat to the environment, provided they are destroyed properly.
