Vaibhav Suryavanshi, the youngest player of the IPL, the youngest centurion and the Indian batsman who scored the fastest century, continues to shine. Last season, Vaibhav made his debut with a bang and taking it forward, he is wreaking havoc with his bat in IPL 2026 also. Now he created a stir again by scoring a century in just 36 balls. But despite this brilliant century, he is saying sorry to his father, that too in front of the camera. The reason is also such that it can win anyone’s heart.
What happened was that Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad In the match played between, Vaibhav Suryavanshi created a stir with his stormy batting. The 15 year old young opener completed his half-century in just 15 balls for the third time this season. But this time he not only returned after scoring a half-century, but also scored his second century in IPL and once again did this feat in just 36 balls. Last season, he scored a century in 35 balls.
For what reason did Vaibhav say sorry to his father?
A day after the match, Rajasthan Royals posted a video of Vaibhav Suryavanshi, in which team manager Romi Bhinder was questioning him about this innings. Meanwhile, as soon as it was mentioned whether Vaibhav had talked to his father, the young batsman said that he would call in some time. But Bhinder told him that he had talked to Vaibhav’s father and he asked why he did not touch the coach’s feet after batting.

It is here that Vaibhav made an interesting revelation and told that his father will explain about this. Vaibhav said, “Papa will explain to me for 10 minutes why he did not touch the feet of all the coaches when he came out. But at that time, there were so many people there and all of them were seniors, so then I went inside in my own thoughts. So, I say sorry to Papa for that (folding hands).”
Vaibhav gave an update on his injury
Not only this, Vaibhav also gave an important update regarding his injury. When fielding started after scoring a century, he suddenly felt pain in his leg while running after the ball. There was a strain in his hamstring (leg muscle), due to which he had to leave the field. Vaibhav revealed that he had injured his ankle after the last match, due to which he was putting less stress on it and this resulted in a hamstring injury. But Vaibhav told that he is recovering and will be completely fit by the next match.
