IPL 2026 Points Table: KKR Jump Two Places To 8th As LSG Drop To 10th After Losing Super Over

The action in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2026) gets more exciting as the league stage slowly moves towards its final phase and the race to the playoffs intensifies.

Unbeaten Punjab Kings have emerged as the top contender so far with 13 points in 7 matches. Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Rajasthan Royals have strongly held their spots in the top four currently, but even a slight dip in the coming games can see them missing their place in the final four. As of now, all three of them have 10 points each, but RCB holds the edge over SRH and RR in NRR.

Shubman Gill-led Gujarat Titans picked up a dominant 8-wicket victory over Chennai Super Kings at the iconic Chepauk Stadium to climb to fifth place in the standings. They now have 8 points and have kept themselves very much alive in the playoff race. On the other hand, despite being in the 6th place, CSK’s campaign has taken a hit from this loss. They can hardly afford more setbacks here.

However, the second match of the double-header Sunday was really thrilling. The LSG vs KKR clash went to a Super Over. The Knights came out victorious and climbed two places to 8th. Meanwhile, Lucknow took a big hit and are now at the bottom of the points table after losing five consecutive matches. KKR, MI, and LSG are the bottom three in the standings.
