If proper care is not taken during change in weather, it can dry up. When it is too cold, basil leaves start shrinking and drying up. Similarly, even in extreme heat, basil leaves turn yellow and start falling and the plant may dry up. In such a situation, a simple method given here can keep basil green.
Consuming basil leaves not only strengthens the immune system, but it also provides relief from seasonal health problems like cold and cough. Tulsi, which provides so many benefits, also needs to be taken care of properly so that the plant does not dry up.
This solution will work
Tulsi plant should remain green even in summer. For this you take sour buttermilk. Mix half water in it. Along with this, add half teaspoon pure turmeric and add 1 teaspoon pure aloe vera gel. Blend all these things well so that it becomes a thin solution. Pour this solution on the roots of basil. Every 15 to 20 days, keep pouring this natural solution on the roots of basil in the evening. Keep in mind that the solution has to be poured only so much that the soil absorbs it.
How will the plant benefit?
By pouring this solution, the roots of basil get coolness and it also maintains moisture for a long time. Buttermilk contains lactic acid and prokaryotic bacteria which destroy the fungus and make its roots healthy. Along with this, buttermilk contains many types of vitamins and minerals including calcium and potassium, which make the soil fertile and nourish the plants, which improves growth. Similarly, turmeric also makes the stems healthy by controlling insects and fungus. Aloe vera gel acts as a natural fertilizer and rooting hormone. It also maintains moisture and improves moisture.

keep these things in mind
- To keep the Tulsi plant safe in the scorching heat, keep the pot at a place where it gets sunlight and shade for a few hours.
- Keep the plant in a pot of soil so that it remains moist. Basil plant in plastic pot can dry up due to heat.
- Mulching is necessary to maintain moisture in the soil. For this, spread a layer of dry leaves, grass, coconut peels in the pot.
- The Tulsi plant is planted in the middle of the courtyard and if you cannot remove the pot, cover it with a big cotton cloth.
- Keep removing the stems of basil from time to time and also remove the leaves which are turning yellow. If you want, break it and put it in the soil of the pot.
