K Kavitha launches Telangana Rashtra Sena; hits out at KCR, KTR

Hyderabad: Former BRS MLC K Kalavakuntla Kavitha launched a new party named ‘Telangana Rashtra Sena’ (TRS) at a public meeting held at Munirabad in Medchal district, Telangana.

Reclaiming the moniker ‘TRS’, she called it an unforgettable day in her life and recalled the struggle for Telangana. “We fought with grit, unwavering resilience and determination.”

Kavitha apologises for her role in BRS:

She said that she launched TRS for social justice in the state. “Struggle alone is not enough to fight for the people. Political power is also needed. That is why I am launching the party today.”

“I feel ashamed for being part of the family that once ruled. The Telangana movement under KCR lost direction and the dream of social justice was shattered. Dalits are still facing injustice, farmers are still burdened. This is not the freedom we dreamt of. I apologise for my role in that past. I want to rebuild the state with justice and dignity,” she said.

‘KCR is no longer our man, he has changed’:

BRS party president and former CM KCR is no longer our man, he has changed, she remarked and further stated that he no longer fights for the people. “He is surrounded by wrong influence. What did KCR achieve in national politics? KTR knows nothing. I spoke about corruption in Kaleshwaram and I was sidelined. Those responsible were protected. He has changed.”
