TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) – The Arizona Cardinals selected Jeremiyah Love, a running back from Notre Dame, with the third overall pick in the NFL draft on Thursday night, making him one of the highest-drafted players at his position in recent years.
Love, who stands 6 feet tall and weighs 212 pounds, expressed his eagerness to contribute to the team during his introductory press conference, drawing a parallel between his role and the responsibility that comes with power, referencing Spider-Man.
A Historic Selection
Jeremiyah Love’s selection marks the first time since Saquon Barkley was picked second overall in 2018 that a running back has been chosen so early in the draft.
