What should be the diet for thyroid?
Dr. Anamika Gaur, former dietician at GTB Hospital, Delhi, says that if someone has thyroid, then first of all there is a need to pay special attention to the diet. To control this, those things which contain good amount of iodine and zinc should be included in the diet. For this you can include curd, milk, egg in your diet.
definitely eat green vegetables
Dr. Anamika tells that thyroid patients should eat green vegetables. Like broccoli, spinach, capsicum. The antioxidants present in them reduce inflammation in the body and improve metabolism. Eat these vegetables at least four days a week, but keep in mind that never eat them raw. Also keep in mind that along with vegetables, you should also consume rotis made from whole grains. Apart from this, eat fruits also. Especially it is considered good to include apple, banana and berries in the diet.
If obesity is increasing then control it
If there is thyroid and obesity is also increasing then it can be dangerous for health. In such a situation, it is important to keep obesity under control. For this, exercise for at least half an hour every day. Also avoid some things in food. Do not eat too much sweets, avoid fried and junk food.
