New Delhi: In a tragic incident in Andhra Pradesh’s Kadapa, a man has died by suicide after becoming infuriated at his wife for spilling milk on the stove at home. According to the details given by the police, the couple has been identified as Venkata Subbaiah (53) and Anuradha, and they have two daughters.
The case of spilt milk
Venkata used to work in the Gulf earlier and recently came back to Kadapa. He was running a shop in his hometown, and the couple reportedly used to argue every day over small matters. On Sunday, Anuradha lit the stove at home and put a container full of milk on it. After a while, the milk started to boil, and unbeknownst to Anuradha, it spilled onto the stove. When Venkata noticed it, he hit his head on the wall in anger and yelled at his wife.
Police are probing the incident
He suffered a minor injury to his head, and a frightened Anuradha went out of the home. It angered Venkata further, who thought that his wife had gone out without paying attention to what he was saying. Then he took the drastic step and hung himself from the fan in the house.
After a while, when Anuradha went back into the house, she witnessed the tragic scene and screamed at the top of her voice. It alerted the local people who arrived at the house and brought down Venkata. He was still alive when they rescued him, but died shortly after. The police reached the spot and shifted the body to the government hospital for a postmortem. The law enforcement has registered a case and is investigating the incident.
