Bhooth Bangla box office collection
Directed by Priyadarshan, Bhooth Bangla opened to impressive numbers after its April 17 release. Despite mixed reviews, audiences have responded enthusiastically to the film’s humour and unusual storyline.
According to trade estimates, the film earned Rs 23 crore on its first Sunday, taking its India net collection to Rs 58 crore within three days. Including overseas markets, the movie has already reached Rs 95.87 crore worldwide.
The horror-comedy also marks the reunion of Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan after nearly 16 years, their last collaboration being the 2010 film Khatta Meetha. The film features an ensemble cast including Paresh Rawal, Tabu, Rajpal Yadav, Wamiqa Gabbi and Mithila Palkar. Notably, it also marks the final screen appearance of veteran actor Asrani, who passed away last year.
Dhurandhar 2 box office collection
Meanwhile, Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge entered its fifth weekend with a noticeable slowdown following weeks of record-breaking collections.
The film earned Rs 2.70 crore on Friday, followed by Rs 4.65 crore on Saturday and Rs 5.20 crore on Sunday, bringing its fifth-weekend total to Rs 12.55 crore. Despite the decline, the action drama has achieved remarkable milestones. Its India net total now stands at Rs 1,115.67 crore, while worldwide earnings have reached approximately Rs 1,756.64 crore.
The film currently ranks as the second-highest-grossing Indian film globally, trailing only Baahubali 2: The Conclusion by roughly Rs 31 crore.
Dacoit box office collection
While the spotlight remains on the bigger releases, Dacoit has achieved a notable milestone of its own. The Shaneil Deo-directed action drama crossed Rs 50 crore worldwide after ten days in theatres. On Day 10, the film collected Rs 1.32 crore net in India, pushing its domestic total to Rs 31.92 crore. Strong overseas performance has helped drive its global gross to Rs 50.24 crore.
