‘Reel stunt’ turns fatal: Three brothers killed after bike hits truck in Madhya Pradesh

New Delhi: Three brothers were killed on the spot after their bike rammed into a stationary truck on National Highway 135 in Mauganj area of Madhya Pradesh. The youths were allegedly shooting a reel for social media at the time of the accident.

The incident allegedly took place on April 14.

Video of incident goes viral

A video of the incident has been widely circulated on social media. The footage shows three boys on a bike with one of the pillion rider waving a country-made pistol. The bike which was allegedly speeding, was moving in a zig-zag manner.

The rider, whose face was covered, overtook several vehicles but it rammed into the truck while performing a stunt allegedly for social media fame. The incident was recorded by their friends riding behind them on another bike.

Deceased identified as brothers

The deceased have been identified as Upalakh Kol, Amrish Kol and Hemraj Kol, residents of Bela village. The two youths on the second motorcycle sustained serious injuries.

Police blamed over speeding and negligence for the accident. They also recovered the gun from the accident site.

Police said further investigation into the incident is underway.
