Weather Update 21 July 2026: Where will it rain in Bihar and Jharkhand today, where will the clouds thunder? Know the weather, temperature of all the districts and the weather forecast for the next days according to the latest report of IMD.
Weather Today: Monsoon remains fully active in Jharkhand and Bihar. On July 21, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain with movement of clouds in most of the districts of both the states and thunderstorm at many places. There is also a possibility of lightning in some areas. There will be a slight drop in temperature compared to before, due to which people can get some relief from humidity. There are indications that the rain will continue for the next one or two days.
How will the weather be in Bihar?
Most of the districts including Patna, Gaya, Muzaffarpur, Begusarai, Nawada, Madhubani, Nalanda, Rajgir and Aurangabad are likely to remain cloudy throughout the day on July 21 with one or two spells of rain or thundershowers. A warning regarding lightning has also been issued in many districts. The maximum temperature in Patna is expected to be around 31°C and minimum 26°C, while in Gaya the temperature may be around 31°C/25°C, in Muzaffarpur 31°C/25°C, in Madhubani 31°C/25°C and in Begusarai 32°C/26°C. There is a possibility of rain continuing in Nalanda and Rajgir also. After heavy rain conditions in Nalanda, there may be rain and thundershowers again on July 21, while in Rajgir also the weather will be humid and cloudy. Districts of western and central Bihar like Arrah, Buxar and Samastipur will also remain cloudy and there is a possibility of moderate rain.

Rainy season will continue in Jharkhand
There are chances of one or two rounds of rain with cloudy sky on July 21 in Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Dhanbad, Bokaro, Ramgarh, Hazaribagh, Gumla, Deoghar, Dumka, Giridih, Chaibasa, Daltonganj and Simdega areas. There is a possibility of lightning along with thunder in many districts. The maximum temperature is expected to be around 30°C and minimum 25°C in Ranchi, 34°C/26°C in Jamshedpur, 29°C/26°C in Dhanbad, 27°C/24°C in Hazaribagh and 27°C/23°C in Gumla.

Bihar-Jharkhand weather trend for the coming days
Even on July 22, the weather pattern is not going to change much in most parts of both the states. Clouds, thunderstorms and light to moderate rain are likely to continue in most districts of Bihar. Monsoon will also be active in Jharkhand and it will rain intermittently in many areas. Due to the temperature being slightly lower than normal, people are expected to get relief from the scorching heat, although humidity may persist.
