SIT investigation into allegations of sexual harassment, forced conversion and harassment continues in Nashik TCS BPO case. Nashik TCS Case: A new and important document has come to light in the much-discussed case related to alleged sexual assault, harassment and forced religious coercion at the Nashik-based TCS (Tata Consultancy Services) BPO unit. The suspension letter of 26-year-old Nida Khan, who is said to be the accused, has become public, in which the company has taken action of suspension with immediate effect on the basis of serious allegations against her and absence at the workplace.
“Unable to perform duty” – What is written in the suspension letter?
The suspension letter issued by TCS clearly states that the company has received information about a serious case against Khan and in that context he is reportedly currently in police or judicial custody. The letter mentions that given the situation he has been deemed “unable” to perform his official duties.
It was written in the letter that:
- He is suspended with immediate effect.
- The suspension will continue until further notice.
- Company network and system access has been shut down.
- Instructions have been given to return all company property.
- There will be a ban on contact with any employee or entry into the office.
The company also warned that disciplinary action would be taken if the instructions are violated.

Nida Khan becomes ‘central character’ in SIT investigation
The Special Investigation Team (SIT) formed by Nashik Police is investigating the entire matter, which includes serious allegations like sexual harassment, mental pressure and pressure for alleged religious conversion. According to the investigating agencies, Nida Khan is being considered an important link in this case. According to reports so far, Khan has been accused of allegedly being part of an organized network in which incidents of harassment and oppression of several employees have come to light. However, all these allegations are under investigation and have not yet been proven in court.

Arrest, absconding and family’s claim
So far seven people have been arrested in this case, while Nida Khan has been declared absconding by the police. On the other hand, her family has rejected these claims and said that she is not absconding, but is present at her home in Mumbai and is pregnant. The family also clarified that Khan’s post was not related to HR management, as claimed in initial reports. According to her, she was working as a telecaller and was part of the sales team.

Name of absconding accused: education, personal life and background
Nida Khan: He is considered to be the mastermind of this racket. It is reported that she is hiding in Mumbai and has applied for anticipatory bail citing her pregnancy. According to reports, Nida Khan has graduated in commerce and is currently pursuing MBA through correspondence. The family says that she got married last year and in January she shifted to Mumbai with her husband.

Political reaction and expansion of the investigation
Responding to the matter, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that the investigation is being taken seriously and the help of central agencies is also being sought to get to the bottom of the alleged “module”. He also said that big IT company TCS has cooperated in the investigation and no attempt will be made to protect any culprit. This incident has been strongly condemned even at the company level.
