To protect a man accused of sexual exploitation in North Delhi, his family imprisoned two policemen in their house. Taking advantage of this opportunity the accused escaped through the window. Police have registered a case against the family for obstructing government work.

A surprising case has come to light in Sarai Rohilla area of North Delhi. Here, to save an accused of sexual exploitation, his family imprisoned the policemen in their house. This entire incident took place on April 8 at around 7:30 pm. The accused’s son had called the police and told that his father was unwell, hence he could not come to the police station. On this information, a sub-inspector and a head constable reached the fourth floor house of the accused.

The accused was present inside the house with his family. The family welcomed the police, which initially did not raise any suspicion. But as soon as the police started interrogating the accused, the atmosphere changed. One of the sons of the accused secretly went towards the door and after some time locked it from outside. In this way both the policemen were imprisoned inside the house.

Meanwhile, the accused suddenly asked to go to the washroom. His family members started insisting that he be allowed to go to the upper floor. When the sub-inspector asked his fellow constable to follow the accused, the accused’s wife allegedly blocked the way. Taking advantage of this commotion, the second son took the accused to the upper floor and locked it there too. Besides, the wife also closed the main gate of her floor, due to which the policemen were completely trapped.

By the time the trapped policemen informed the police station and more police forces reached the spot for help, the accused had escaped by jumping from the upper floor window. The police have now formed several teams to catch the absconding accused and have started searching for him. A case has been registered against the family under sections 221 (obstructing official work), 127 (wrongful confinement) and 3(5) (common intention) of the Indian Judicial Code.
