This incident happened near Terminal-1 of Delhi Airport. According to the information, Akasa Air aircraft QP 1406 was about to depart from Delhi to Hyderabad, the aircraft was standing after pushback, meanwhile SpiceJet’s B737-700 aircraft, which had come from Leh, was taxiing, during this time the wings of both the aircraft collided with each other.

Which parts were damaged?
After the collision, both the aircraft were damaged, the winglet of the right wing of the SpiceJet aircraft was damaged, the left horizontal stabilizer of the Akasa Air aircraft was damaged. However, the collision was not very serious, hence a major accident was averted.

A SpiceJet spokesperson said that their plane collided with another airline’s plane while taxiing. He confirmed that the plane has been stopped in Delhi itself, further flight will be decided only after technical inspection.
