Rain Warning
The Chennai Meteorological Department has issued a warning that temperatures could rise by another 2 to 3 degrees Celsius in some parts of Tamil Nadu. A trough, which is a low-pressure channel, is currently running from northeast Madhya Pradesh down to the Gulf of Mannar at an altitude of 1.5 km. This system passes over Vidarbha, Marathwada, interior Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu. Because of this, there’s a chance of light rain until the 22nd in the Western Ghats districts, coastal Delta areas, Ramanathapuram, and Karaikal. The rest of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry will likely remain dry.
