A situation of tension arose in Bally assembly constituency of Howrah on Wednesday evening when Trinamool Congress supporters suddenly started sloganeering during the road show of Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari in support of the BJP candidate. During the road show taken out in support of BJP candidate from Bali, Sanjay Singh, some youth started raising slogans of Jai Bangla. After which the atmosphere heated up. And amid loud sloganeering, the situation worsened when supporters of both the parties started pushing and shoving. During this, Suvendu also lost his temper and tried to get down from the car and move towards the protesters, however, the security personnel stopped him. Due to the promptness of the police administration and central forces present on the spot, the situation was soon brought under control.
