IPL 2026 RCB vs LSG: In the 23rd match of IPL 2026, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) easily defeated Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). Royal Challengers Bangalore team dominated in this match played at MA Chinnaswamy Stadium. First the bowlers bowled with command and bowled out Lucknow for 146 runs. Then there was a storm of batsmen, due to which Royal Challengers Bangalore achieved this target by losing 5 wickets in 15.1 overs. With this, RCB defeated Lucknow for the first time at home.
RCB bowlers wreaked havoc
RCB, captained by Rajat Patidar, won the toss in this match and decided to bowl first, which proved to be correct. Lucknow Super Giants team could score only 146 runs after playing 20 overs and were all out. Lucknow had a bad start, Aiden Markram was out after scoring only 12 runs. Then captain Rishabh Pant retired hurt after getting injured on the ball of Josh Hazlewood in the fifth over. Later he came back but was out after scoring only 1 run. Whereas, Ayush Badoni scored 38 runs and Mukul Chaudhary scored 39 runs to take the team to this score.
On the other hand, RCB’s bowling was excellent. Rasikh Dar took maximum 4 wickets. Bhuvneshwar Kumar took 3 wickets and Krunal Pandya took 2 wickets. Josh Hazlewood also proved to be economical and managed to take 1 wicket.

During the chase, RCB fielded Virat Kohli as an impact player. Virat started aggressively and scored 49 runs in 34 balls, which included 6 fours and 1 six. His innings made the run chase quite easy for the team. He made an important partnership with Devdutt Padikkal for the second wicket. Then captain Rajat Patidar scored 27 runs in 13 balls in a stormy manner. Jitesh Sharma also managed to score 23 on 9 balls. In the end Tim David and Romario Shepherd ended the match.
