Therefore, it is advisable to eat such things which have less amount of oil and also contain many nutrients including fiber. There are two types of cholesterol which include LDL and HDL.

While HDL is considered good cholesterol, LDL is a type of bad cholesterol. To reduce or control LDL, it is important to take special care of some things. Let us tell you which things we should not consume even by mistake in this problem.

Dangers of high cholesterol

Type 2 diabetes – This is a common type of diabetes, due to which the level of HDL decreases and the level of low-density lipoprotein i.e. HDL increases. Due to dangerous combination like decrease of HDL and increase of LDL, there is a risk of heart attack or stroke.

Obesity is a disease – If someone is obese then LDL increases and HDL decreases. Obesity also increases our risk of heart related diseases. Apart from this, there is also a fear of high blood pressure and diabetes.

Therefore, it is said that to avoid high cholesterol, it is important to keep the weight under control. Other health problems such as familial hypercholesterolemia can also cause high cholesterol levels to increase.

These mistakes increase the risk of high cholesterol

Include these food items in your diet

Instead, it is important to adopt a diet rich in fruits, green vegetables and fiber. Make fiber rich things like cucumber and other green vegetables a part of your diet.

In case of high cholesterol, fiber rich foods like oats, porridge, brown rice, fruits (apple, orange) and green vegetables should be consumed. Apart from this, include things containing good fats like almonds, walnuts, flax seeds and olive oil in your diet. For protein, take pulses, kidney beans, gram, soya and low-fat milk.

Omega-3 fatty acids are very important to reduce the risk of this problem. If you are a vegetarian then make a habit of eating soaked chia seeds for Omega-3. Also include fruits and salad in your daily diet. Walk or exercise for at least 30 minutes daily.
