CP Radhakrishnan will take oath as Vice President today
The newly elected Vice President of the country, CP Radhakrishnan, will take oath of office today i.e. on 12 September. In the election held on Tuesday, he made Opposition India alliance candidate B.K. Sudarshan won by defeating Reddy. Radhakrishnan got 452 votes in this election.
4 people died due to landslide in Sikkim
In the Yangthang assembly constituency of West Sikkim, there was a major accident due to the night landslide. According to media reports, 4 people died in the accident, while 3 people are still missing. Police team, local villagers and SSB jawans together built a temporary bridge with stems of trees on the flood -hit Hume River and took out two injured women safely. Both were immediately sent to the district hospital, but a woman died during treatment. The condition of the second woman remains critical and the search for the missing people continues.
Former PFI state president arrested in Bihar, used to do this work under the guise of teacher
In Kishanganj, the NIA has arrested Mehboob Alam Nadvi associated with PFI. Nadvi hails from Katihar and was working as a teacher in a private school in Kishanganj since 2025. He is accused of being involved in terrorist activities. The NIA is questioning him and investigating his local contacts.
