Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav released the claim amount of Kharif-2025 under the Prime Minister Crop Insurance Scheme after the meeting of the Council of Ministers held in Jagdishpur. A total of Rs 1460 crore 25 lakh was transferred to the bank accounts of 10 lakh 54 thousand farmers through a single click. According to the government, this amount has been provided to provide financial support to the farmers affected by crop loss.

Appeal to farmers to get crop insurance in time

The Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is continuously trying to protect the interests of farmers and for this purpose the Prime Minister Crop Insurance Scheme is being operated. He appealed to the farmers to get the notified crops insured within the stipulated time limit. The Chief Minister said that this year there is a possibility of uncertainty regarding the monsoon due to the effect of El Nino. In such a situation, by getting insurance on time, farmers will be able to get financial assistance in case of crop loss. He assured that the state government stands with the farmers in every situation.

Farmers have received more than Rs 30 thousand crore since 2016

Farmer Welfare and Agriculture Development Minister Adal Singh Kanshana said that under the Prime Minister Crop Insurance Scheme in Madhya Pradesh, Rs 30,942 crore 34 lakh has been paid to the affected farmers from 2016-17 to 2024-25. The government claims that through the scheme, farmers who suffer crop losses due to natural disasters are getting timely financial assistance. The government has appealed to the farmers to get crop insurance done within the stipulated time to avail the benefits of the scheme.
