Miss World 2026 is a special event because it marks 75 years of the Miss World legacy. The competition is being held in Vietnam for the first time. The prestigious event brings together delegates from around 110 nations for almost a month of cultural exchange, humanitarian initiatives, and international competition before the new Miss World is crowned on September 5, 2026. Miss World 2026 finale will be streaming live on JioHotstar. The Indian audience can watch it on September 5, from 5:30 PM onwards. Nikita Porwal is India’s official entry this year.
Who is Nikita Porwal?
Hailing from Madhya Pradesh, first made headlines when she won the Miss India crown in 2024. She began her career as a television anchor and went on to star in theatre plays. Nikita travelled to Vietnam earlier this month, where she has been preparing for the prestigious global pageant.

Speaking about her participation, Nikita said, “Namaste India, I am Nikita Porwal, your Femina Miss India World and I am representing India in the Vietnam Miss World Festival. I hope that you will support me in the Grand Finale on 5th September and watch me live on JioHotstar.”

In an exclusive interview with Zoom, Nikita spoke about representing India in Vietnam. She said, “It’s the 75th Miss World edition- the 75th Miss World Anniversary Edition, rather. So it’s 75 years of legacy that I am going to be a part of. When I won Miss India, it was the 60th Anniversary Edition. So I think the stars will align that night as well. And I hope I bring back the crown to the country.”
Talking about her journey, Nikita added, “I would not say it was a cakewalk. I had my share of ups and downs. There were a lot of difficulties, challenges of their own kind. But the one thing that came out as the positive part of it is that now, when I look at myself, I cannot recognise myself because the things that I thought I could never be able to do, I am able to do right now. I am simply transformed in a way that I never imagined myself to be. So, be it the external factors like the way they teach you how to do your makeup, how to do your hair, how to walk, how to keep up with yourself, your personality, your workout routine, your diet and also how to think like a Miss World. ”
Where is Miss World 2026 taking place?
finale will take place in Nha Trang, a coastal resort city in southern Vietnam. The ceremony will be held at 2/4 Square, one of the city’s iconic waterfront venues. It is the first Southeast Asian nation to host the event.
