The central government has announced the winners of the 72nd National Film Awards for the year 2024. Out of more than 400 films reviewed by the jury, the committee selected the most exceptional works across various categories.
Key Highlights:
- Best Actor (Shared): Kartik Aaryan for Chandu Champion and Mammootty for Bramayugam.
- Best Feature Film & Best Actress: Article 370 secured the Best Film title, while Yami Gautam won Best Actress for her performance in the same movie.
- Best Director: Rajkumar Periasamy for the film Amaran.
- Regional Films: Committee Kurrollu was named the Best Telugu Film, and Raayan won Best Tamil Film.
- Best Film Critic: Sanjeev Srivastava.
