The starting price of this car is only Rs 5.21 lakh. At the same time, the price of its CNG model is only Rs 6.36 lakh. Eeco is also the cheapest 7-seater CNG car in the country. It has a K-series 1.2-litre engine. On petrol it generates power of 80.76 PS and peak torque of 104.5 Nm. On CNG the power reduces to 71.65 PS and peak torque to 95 Nm. The company claims a mileage of 20.2 km/liter on petrol and 27.05 km/kg on CNG for its Tour variant. At the same time, in the passenger trim, the mileage becomes 19.7 km/liter on petrol and 26.78 km/kg on CNG.
Eeco has been provided with 11 safety features following all the safety rules. These include reverse parking sensor, engine immobilizer, child door lock, seat belt reminder, ABS with EBD and six airbags. The Eeco now also gets a new steering wheel and digital instrument cluster. Both these units are taken from S-Presso and Celerio. The old sliding AC controls have now been replaced with new rotary units.
Maruti Ertiga
The ex-showroom price of this affordable MPV ranges from Rs 8.80 lakh to Rs 12.94 lakh. It has a 1.5-litre petrol engine, which generates 103PS power and 137Nm torque. CNG option is also available in it. The petrol model gives a mileage of 20.51 km/litre, while the CNG variant gives a mileage of 26.11 km/kg. It has features like paddle shifters, auto headlamps, auto air conditioning and cruise control. For safety, six airbags are provided as standard.
Ertiga now gets a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system instead of 7-inch. It has Suzuki’s SmartPlay Pro technology, which supports voice commands and connected car technology. Connected car features include vehicle tracking, tow-away alert and tracking, geo-fencing, over-speeding alert and remote function. It also has a 360-degree surround-view camera. It competes with Toyota Rumion, Maruti XL6, Kia Carens and Kia Carens Clavis.
