Ranji Trophy 2024: Ranji Trophy 2024–25 season has started and only two rounds have ended. In this too, many players have attracted everyone’s attention with their performance.
Meanwhile, Himachal Pradesh captain Rishi Dhawan has attracted everyone’s attention with his captaincy innings. Dhawan not only brought his team out of trouble by playing the biggest innings of his career in Ranji Trophy but also took his team to a respectable position.
Dhawan won in the battle of captains!
Batting first, Andhra Pradesh team scored 344 runs. In which captain Sheikh Rashid scored the maximum 69 runs. In which Divesh Sharma took maximum 5 wickets for Himachal. Himachal team did not have a good start and their first 4 wickets fell for only 126 runs but captain Rishi Dhawan along with Akash Vashishtha and Mukul Negi took the score close to Andhra Pradesh’s score.
Dhawan is done scoring a double century
However, after that Dhawan changed his gears and along with the tail batsmen, he was successful in giving the team the lead. Dhawan missed scoring a double century by just 5 runs and was out after scoring 195 runs. Due to which Himachal scored 500 runs in the first innings and got a lead of 156 runs.
Himachal’s great victory
Andhra Pradesh team was playing this match to survive but Himachal bowlers were in no mood to show any mercy. Due to the brilliant bowling of Vinay Galatea and Mayank Dagar, Andhra team was reduced to just 118 runs and Himachal team won the match by 38 runs. Vinay took 5 wickets and Mayank took 4 wickets.
