Bhubaneswar: Altogether six rugby players named in the national team for the upcoming Asia Rugby Emirates Sevens Series Level 1 at Changshu Sports Center, Suzhou City, China from 29-30 August 2026
Dumuni Marandi, Mama Naik, Nirmalya Rout and Sandhyarani Tudu are the players from Odisha named in the National Senior Women’s Rugby team, while Asis Sabar and Ganesh Majhi from Odisha named in the National Men’s team.
Congratulating the players, Odisha Rugby Football Association (ORFA) vice president U K Mohanty said “the players got selected from the national camp which is going on at Kolkata. Our both senior women and men players put their best effort for the national team to make a podium finish”.
