Banks will remain closed for 12 days

If you have to complete any important bank related work in the month of July, then first check the list of bank holidays. Next month, banks will remain closed for a total of 12 days in different states and cities across the country. These include 4 Sundays, 2nd and 4th Saturdays and 6 holidays for local festivals and special occasions. However, these 6 additional holidays will not be applicable in all the states simultaneously, rather banks will remain closed in the respective states and cities only.

Banks will remain closed across the country these Saturdays

According to the rules of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), all government and private banks remain closed on the second and fourth Saturday of every month. In July:

11 July 2nd Saturday 25 July 4th Saturday

All bank branches across the country will remain closed on both these days.

When is Sunday holiday in July?

Due to Sunday also banks will remain closed for four days. These are the dates:

July 5th July 12th July 19th July 26th

There will be no work in banking branches across the country these four days.

Banks will remain closed even on local holidays

Banks will also remain closed in many states in July due to local festivals, religious events and regional occasions. These holidays will not be the same in all states. Therefore, if you are going to avail banking services in any other state, then definitely check the bank holiday list there first.

Despite bank branches remaining closed, customers will not face much trouble. Services like Internet Banking, Mobile Banking, UPI, NEFT, RTGS (as per schedule) and ATM will be available normally. With their help, most of the tasks like transferring money, bill payment, checking balance and cash withdrawal can be done easily.
