Maruti Suzuki Dzire
Maruti Suzuki Dzire led July 2026 sales with 23,791 units, up 13.86 percent year on year, making up 11.84 percent of the combined top 10 sales. It was the only sedan on the list. Prices start at Rs 6.26 lakh ex-showroom, with mileage of up to 25.71 km/l on petrol and 33.73 km/kg on CNG.
Maruti Suzuki WagonR
Maruti Suzuki WagonR sold 23,338 units, up 58.65 percent year on year, selling 8,628 more units than the previous July. Prices range from Rs 4.98 lakh to Rs 7.24 lakh ex-showroom. It offers a CNG mileage of up to 34.05 km/kg and is the only model on this list also available in a flex-fuel version compatible with E85 fuel.
Maruti Suzuki Ertiga
Maruti Suzuki Ertiga ranked third with 21,606 units, up 30.13 percent year on year, and was the only MPV to feature among the top three bestsellers. Prices start at Rs 8.85 lakh ex-showroom, with mileage of up to 20.5 km/l on petrol and 26 km/kg on CNG.
Maruti Suzuki Swift
Maruti Suzuki Swift sold 21,538 units in July 2026, up 51.78 percent year on year. Prices start at around Rs 6.5 lakh ex-showroom, with a claimed mileage of up to 25.75 km/l on petrol and 32.85 km/kg on CNG, making it a practical choice for daily commuting.
Tata Punch and Punch EV
Tata Punch and Punch EV together sold 21,313 units, up 97.62 percent year on year, the highest growth on the list. The sub-compact SUV recently crossed 8 lakh cumulative sales. Prices for the petrol version start at Rs 5.65 lakh ex-showroom, with a 5-star GNCAP safety rating.
Maruti Suzuki Fronx
Maruti Suzuki Fronx sold 19,473 units, up 51.28 percent year on year, making it Maruti’s highest-selling model sold through the Nexa network. Prices are estimated to start at around Rs 7.5 lakh ex-showroom, with a claimed mileage of around 28 km/l on petrol.
Maruti Suzuki Baleno
Maruti Suzuki Baleno recorded 18,241 units, up 45.89 percent year on year, marking Maruti’s sixth entry in the top 10. Prices are estimated to start at around Rs 6.6 lakh ex-showroom, with a claimed mileage of around 22 km/l.
Hyundai Creta and Creta Electric
Hyundai Creta and Creta Electric together sold 18,088 units, up 7.04 percent year on year, the lowest growth among the top 10. Hyundai recently introduced an assured buyback programme for the Creta Electric, offering 60 percent buyback value after three years or 45,000 km. Prices are estimated to start at around Rs 11 lakh for petrol and Rs 18 lakh for the electric version.
Tata Nexon and Nexon EV
Tata Nexon and Nexon EV together sold 17,471 units, up 36.23 percent year on year, making it the second compact SUV on the list after the Fronx. Prices are estimated to start at around Rs 8 lakh for petrol and Rs 12.49 lakh for the EV version.
Mahindra Scorpio N and Scorpio Classic
Mahindra Scorpio N and Scorpio Classic together sold 16,009 units, up 16.45 percent year on year. Mahindra rolled out the 2026 update for the Scorpio N on the same day these sales figures were released. Prices are estimated to start at around Rs 13 lakh for the Scorpio Classic and Rs 14 lakh for the Scorpio N.
