Bageshwar Dham Peethadhishwar Dhirendra Shastri had demanded a ban on Muslim shopkeepers in the Mahakumbh being organized in Prayagraj. He had said, what business do you have in my courtyard? After this, 300 shops of Hindu shopkeepers are being set up in the Tablighi Ijtema being organized in Bhopal. Along with this, the Tablighi Ijtema Committee said that we do not give permission to set up shops on the basis of religion. Rather we say that you are welcome in my courtyard. After this statement of the committee, a new political storm has started. Many Hindu organizations and BJP leaders have reacted to this.
BJP MLA Rameshwar Sharma has given the first reaction to this statement of Tablighi Ijtema Committee. He said that meaningless politics is taking place. This is a fair and anyone can set up a shop in the fair. Anyway, there is no need for Hindus to ask for setting up shop anywhere in India. He said that no fair can be compared to Mahakumbh. Kumbh has a different religious and cultural significance. Similarly, President of Sanskriti Bachao Manch Chandrashekhar Tiwari said that after the statement of Pandit Dhirendra Shastri, these people are giving permission to Hindu shopkeepers to set up shops. Earlier there was no such system here.
Committee said – Shop is not given on the basis of religion
On the other hand, Congress leader Abbas Hafeez said that BJP always works to divide the society. Hindus have always been setting up shops. Even in Ayodhya, 80 percent of the flower shops are owned by Muslims. There has been no controversy regarding this till date. Similarly, Umar Hafiz of Tablighi Ijtema Committee has given a statement that he does not allot shops considering anyone’s religion. Rather, the only condition for setting up a shop here is that the committee will decide the price of the goods and it has to be sold at that price. He said that he tells everyone irrespective of their religion that you are welcome in my courtyard.
