Now the world’s second largest electric vehicle charging hub is going to be prepared in India. This is preparing to compete with China, because right now the world’s largest charging hub is there.
The world’s second and the country’s most EV charging hub is being developed in Kolkata. More than 300 charging points will be present at the same place. Currently, the world’s largest charging hub in China, there are 650 charger.
This company is making charging hub
According to the recent PTI news, the country’s largest charging hub is going to form a company named Ezurja. This charging hub is being developed in Thakurpukur area of South Kolkata. The company’s MD Ashok Kapoor says that this charging hub is being developed on 2 acres of vacant 2 acres of government company Andrew Yule & Company.
He says that the company is going to build a charging hub for the first time. This hub will work to charge 300 cabs of All-Electric App-Based Cab service company SNAP-E. The largest charging hub in the country is in Gurgaon, which has 160 charging points.
Such cost will come on creating a charging hub
Ashok Kapoor says that this project is estimated to cost around Rs 7.5 crore. The company’s planning is to start it by August before Durga Puja. All the EV chargers are to be installed here, they are being completely dependent in India. Both fasting and slow charger will be present here. Their total capacity will be 120 kW.
Out of total charger, 20 percent will be fast charger. The entire load capacity of this hub will be 6 MW, and to make its cost durable, solar panels and storage batteries are being installed.
