3 killed as tempo traveller collides with Thar, motorbike on Delhi-Meerut Expressway

New Delhi: At least three people were killed after a tempo traveller collided with a Thar SUV and, a motorbike on the Delhi-Meerut Expressway on Friday morning, officials said.

The accident took place in Ghaziabad early this morning, around 5 am near IPEM College. As per preliminary reports, two young men had stopped their Thar on the highway and were talking to a motorcyclist when a tempo traveller came from behind and struck them. The two Thar occupants and the motorcyclist were killed on the spot.

The incident took place at the Institute Of Professional Excellence And Management (IPEM) College exit point on the Delhi-Meerut Expressway. The accident led to a traffic jam on the highway.

The police have taken the accused driver of the vehicle into custody and sent the body for a post-mortem. Further investigation into the matter is underway.
