CBI has arrested 2 Sub Inspectors of Barakhamba Road Police Station, Delhi. He is accused of taking bribe. The names of the arrested accused sub-inspectors are Varun Chichi and Rajesh Yadav. In these, CBI has caught Rajesh Yadav taking bribe of Rs 4.5 lakh. At the same time, Varun is an accused in the Chichi bribery case.
According to CBI, in the year 2018, a case was registered against Nirmal Singh Bhangu, MD of a private company. A case of non-delivery of flat and fraud of Rs 1 crore 20 lakh is registered against him.
25 lakh rupees were demanded as bribe
10-12 days ago, the complainant working in M/s Pearl Company of Shri had gone to Barakhamba Road Police Station to give medicines to his MD Nirmal Singh Bhangu. At that time Nirmal Singh Bhangu was brought from Tihar Jail. It is alleged that there 1 Sub Inspector threatened Nirmal Singh Bhangu of implicating the complainant and his daughter and son-in-law in the case. The accused sub-inspector also said threateningly that if Rs 25 lakh is given then no action will be taken.

Asked for Rs 5 lakh in first installment
After the complaint, CBI laid a trap to arrest both the accused sub-inspectors. The accused sub-inspector had asked for Rs 5 lakh from the complainant as the first installment. The matter was complained to CBI. Rs 4.5 lakh was given as installment by the complainant to accused Sub Inspector Rajesh Yadav. CBI caught him red handed. Besides, the other sub-inspector involved in this, Varun Chichi, was also arrested.
