24 Babus of Etah Collectorate dismissed, why did Yogi government take such big action?

There is a stir in Etah district of Uttar Pradesh due to an action of Yogi government. Yogi government has dismissed 24 babus (clerks) from service simultaneously. The allegation against him is that this Babu had got the job fraudulently 30 years ago. When investigation was conducted, it was found that these people were given jobs between 1993 and 1995 without any government order. Since Kasganj district was in Etah district at that time, the appointment of these 24 was also in Etah. Now 11 of them were posted in Kasganj Collectorate. Whereas 15 out of 24 have retired.

This is from 1995. When Major RK Singh, who was the DM of Etah, received a letter from Uttar Pradesh Revenue Council. On this, instructions were given to appoint these 24 people. On the basis of the letter, DM Major RK Singh gave appointment to everyone. After the appointment, everyone joined and started doing duty in the Collectorate. After four years the DM received a complaint letter. In this complaint letter the job order was described as fake.

Complaint was made to the Revenue Council

On this the then District Magistrate asked about the appointment letter sent from Uttar Pradesh Revenue Council. The reply received was that the Council had not sent any letter of any kind. Nor was any order issued regarding the appointment. When the district officials came to know about this, they were stunned. Seeing such fraud, even the Revenue Council was shocked. The Revenue Council instructed the DM to investigate.

investigation put on hold

However, the DM’s investigation was of no avail. This matter was suppressed with the same speed with which it arose. The investigation also gradually cooled down. All 24 babus started doing their jobs comfortably. After 27 years, in 2019, again a letter was written regarding the appointment of these babus. This letter was written directly to Aligarh Commissioner. When the Commissioner read the letter, he ordered an investigation to Sukhlal Bharti, who was the DM of Etah.

Letter related to appointment missing from Collectorate

When DM Sukhlal Bharti searched the files related to the appointment, the file itself was found missing from the Collectorate. When these fathers were asked, they also remained hesitant in telling anything. Since investigation is not possible without documents, the DM got it investigated in his own way. The whole truth came out in the investigation. Now on the basis of DM’s investigation report, these 24 employees have been dismissed from service.

The special thing is that 11 of these babus were posted in Kasganj Collectorate. And 15 had retired. A total of 9 Babus were currently on duty. Etah district’s ADM Administration Satyaprakash said that a notice has been issued for recovery from all of them. For those who were taking pension benefits, orders to stop their pensions and recovery of previous payments have been given.
