Royal Enfield is working on a new 750cc platform, which is expected to be a big bored version of the current 650cc parallel-twin engine that the company has. In this regard, we have seen multiple test mules already – Continental GT 750 ,Interceptor 750 and the mighty Himalayan 750.
It is speculated that either the Himalayan 750 or Continental GT 750 will launch first. Both these motorcycles have been showcased in some or the other way. A recent video by Shakeeb Ahmed shows the upcoming Himalayan 750 up close and close enough to capture the exhaust sound of this middleweight ADV.

Himalayan 750 Exhaust Sound
One of Royal Enfield’s prized possessions is Himalayan family which had the Himalayan 450 and was recently expanded with Himalayan 440. Himalayan family will soon get a new big brother in the form of Himalayan 750, which has been spied testing and officially revealed multiple times.
The recent video captures Himalayan 750’s exhaust sound, revealing a deep and bassy note. The base note at idling is rumbling and with revs, rumble intensifies. It sort of sounds like a V-twin engine in some ways. It has to be noted that Himalayan 750 gets a single pod exhaust end can setup which is also up-swept for water wading.
Other 750s spied testing have twin exhaust setups with two end cans positioned on either side. Other notable features with Himalayan 750 that have been spied include dual disc brakes at the front, adjustable suspension with a remote preload adjustor, cruise control switch on right cluster, TPMS and a circular TFT Tripper Dash, among others.
What to expect?
The new 750cc engine on these upcoming Royal Enfields including Himalayan 750 is expected to be a big bore version of the current 650cc parallel twin oil-cooled engine with SOHC setup. Same architecture is likely to be retained to maintain simplicity and keep costs in check. This new engine is speculated to generate around 55 bhp and 60 Nm, mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
