has just updated their flagship ICE SUV, the Palisade, in South Korea with many changes for 2027 model year. The most notable addition is High Roof variant, which is the most luxurious variant in the lineup. Prices for 2027 Palisade starts from KRW 44.78 Million (~Rs 30.86 lakh) and new High Roof variant from KRW 81.59 Million (~Rs 56.25 lakh).
2027 Hyundai Palisade Debuts
The new 2027 Palisade High Roof is the buzz generator as something like this is offered for the first time. High Roof variant brings, well, a higher roof which adds 240 mm more headroom. Overall height is still 2,005 mm, to comply with height restrictions in underground parking and other paraphernalia.
From the outside, extended roof is body coloured and it gets metallic highlights, complemented by Black window surrounds and 21-inch alloy wheels. Inside, extended roof offers a pop-out LED reading lights, climate control panel, AC vents along with a Rolls-Royce-like star studded roof pattern for a luxurious ambience.
Rear seat entertainment is also present with a 21.4-inch screen, offered as standard. If you opt for the VIP Package 2, Hyundai will offer plush floor mats along with a multi-function console for second row with an air purifier, twin wireless charging pads along with heated and cooled cup holders for a luxurious experience.
Hyundai Palisade is a three row SUV with seating for seven or nine occupants, depending on the skew. Buyers opting for the Palisade High Roof with VIP Package 2, are expected to get a proper chauffeur driven experience, punching way above its weight.
Specs, Powertrains
Dimensionally, Palisade continues to measure up to 5,090 mm in length, 1,980 mm in width and up to 2,005 mm in height (High Roof) and has a 2,970 mm long wheelbase. Depending on the trim, Hyundai palisade gets Preview Electronically Controlled Suspension which uses front camera and navigation data to adjust suspension characteristics automatically.
Apart from the buzz generating High Roof variant, South Korea market gained the Black Ink trim, which is based on Calligraphy trim, but with a stealthy black look. Then there is the XRT trim, which adds stylistic touches with unique aesthetics, but XRT Pro which US market gets, is not offered in South Korea. Other than these changes, Palisade remains mostly similar to the model it replaces.
Powertrains-wise, 2027 Hyundai Palisade is offered with either a 2.5L Turbo Petrol engine with 281 PS of peak power, mated to an 8-speed autobox and then there is a strong hybrid system (not PHEV) with a total system output of 334 PS, mated to a 6-speed automatic. Both engine options can be had in either FWD or AWD.
