BMW has also added even more ambient lighting inside the cabin.

Driveline wise, the top of the line x-drive M4 competition variant has received a 20 bhp jump in power and now totals to 523 bhp. The rear wheel drive M4 competition has the same 503 bhp and the base manual transmission M4 gets only 473 bhp. The Manual transmission still remains an option on the M4 which is a relief for the enthusiasts.

The 2025 BMW M4 will have a starting price of $79,100 (around Rs 65.71 lakh) for the base coupe, the M4 competition will start from $83,200 (around Rs 69.21 lakh) and the top of the line x-Drive M4 competition will cost $88,300 (around Rs 73.33 lakh). The M4 Competition x-Drive Convertible will be the range topping version with a starting price of $95,300 (around Rs 79.17 lakh). Production of the 2025 BMW M4 will begin from March 2025.

2025 BMW Z4

BMW has finally given a manual transmission option in the 2025 Z4 M40i. This option will be available worldwide although for a hefty cost. The Manual transmission will be a part of the $3500 (around Rs 2.9 lakh) “Handschalter” package which literally means “hand shift”. Although very costly, it will also include a lot of other options and manual exclusive paint jobs to choose from.

The manual gearbox is slower to accelerate than the automatic Z4 which does 0-100 kmph in 3.9 seconds while the manual takes 4.2 seconds. The top speed is limited to 155 mph (250 kmph) and power remains the same at 382 bhp and 500 Nm of torque from a 3.0L inline-six turbo petrol engine.

The Manual equipped cars will get different chassis tuning, model specific programming for traction control and differential, unique auxiliary springs front and rear, a reinforced anti roll bar clamp, and reconfigured damper and sport steering settings. Visually there are new bi-colour M-light wheels which are staggered in the Z4 for the first time. One can also option metallic paint options at no extra cost and the Deep Frozen Metallic is a manual exclusive. One can also option full leather for no extra cost in the manual.

All in all a manual Z4 was much needed and will be a great option for enthusiasts making sure that the analogue sports car is not dead.
