2024 Porsche Panamera Revealed – More Powerful, Techy & Luxurious

Porsche has pulled the wraps off its third-generation Panamera sedan. The 2024 Porsche Panamera sports enhanced engines, cutting-edge technology, and refined aesthetics.

The new Porsche Panamera which is expected to arrive in India in the first half of 2024 is the most luxurious and tech-focused version of the sports sedan to date. The new Panamera is also the most expensive Porsche sedan to date with prices in Germany starting at €107,800 (Rs 98.34 lakh) for the base Panamera and €192,500 (Rs 1.75 crore) for the Turbo E-hybrid model.

The Turbo E-Hybrid model is the star of the show, boasting a total of 671bhp and 930Nm of torque. This impressive power output is thanks to an updated 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine in combination with a new 188bhp electric motor.

Thanks to the updates, the new 2024 Panamera Turbo E-Hybrid sprints from 0-100km/h in just 3.2 seconds and onward to a top speed of 315km/h. The Turbo E-Hybrid model’s electrical setup draws power from a 25.9kWh battery pack that allows for an electric-only range of 91km and a charging time of 2.5 hours with the included 11kW on-board AC charger.

On the other hand, the standard Panamera and Panamera 4 models are powered by a revised version of the 2.9-litre V6 engine, that delivers a robust 349bhp and 500Nm, an increase of 23bhp and 50Nm over its predecessor.

The base Panamera now sprints from 0-100km/h in just 5.1 seconds and now tops out at 272km/h. The all-wheel drive Panamera 4 is quicker still with a 0-100km/h sprint time of 4.8 seconds. However, the top speed of the Panamera 4 is 270km/h.

The new Panamera isn’t merely about power; it also offers improved handling dynamics. The vehicle is equipped with adaptive dampers and an optional Active Ride system to ensure a smooth and controlled ride, regardless of the road conditions.

The sports saloon maintains its elegant silhouette, but with subtle design modifications that include streamlined headlights, a revamped LED pattern, and a redesigned lower bumper. The rear also features an updated bumper and Taycan-style lightbar taillight. The Turbo E-Hybrid model sports some unique design features and an exclusive Turbonite paint scheme.

Inside, the Panamera showcases a more streamlined layout, emphasizing both functionality and luxury. A 10.9-inch screen has been added for the front passenger’s convenience while the instrumentation is now fully digital. Physical climate control buttons have been reintroduced and the dashboard now looks a lot cleaner.
