A love affair in Katra police station area of Muzaffarpur district in Bihar has created a stir in the entire area. In fact, the relationship between Guru and disciple went beyond the boundaries of education and reached the streets of love.
It is said that Gulafsa Praveen, a 20-year-old girl from Barri Kothi village, fell in love with her own tuition teacher who lived in her neighbourhood, while studying. But when the family members came to know about this relationship, they hurriedly arranged the marriage of the girl somewhere else. The girl rejected the marriage proposal of her family members outright.
As a result, on April 19, she ran away from home with her lover. After this the family registered a case of kidnapping in Katra police station, in which some people of the village were made accused. When the police started investigation, the whole matter turned out to be a love affair. But since the case was of kidnapping, the police intensified the action and when the pressure increased, the girl was recovered.
After recovery, the girl was presented in the court for her 164 statement, where she clearly said that she had gone of her own free will and had married her lover. The court also allowed her to go to her in-laws’ house as per her wish after confirming that she was an adult.
A tense atmosphere was created in the court premises when the parents’ and in-laws’ sides came face to face. One party was adamant on taking the daughter with them, while the other party was saying that she was an adult and had married of her own free will. However, the situation was controlled in the presence of police. In the end, on the instructions of the court, the girl was sent back with her husband.
