Meanwhile, a sad news from Delhi has sparked a new discussion regarding the increasing academic pressure and mental health of students. Renu, a 17-year-old NEET aspirant living in Palam Colony area of south-west Delhi, was found dead at her home.
Doctors declared him dead after being taken to the hospital.
According to Delhi Police, on June 13, a PCR call was received at Palam Village police station, in which it was informed that a teenage girl was being taken to IG Hospital in Dwarka in an unconscious state. On reaching the hospital, doctors declared him dead. The police started investigation as per legal procedure and inspected the incident site. Statements of family members have also been recorded during the investigation of the case.
Suicide note found in investigation
According to the police, a suicide note has been recovered from the spot. According to preliminary information, in the note the student wrote an apology to her parents that she could not live up to their expectations. The police have taken the note into possession and have taken the investigation forward in the case. This incident once again draws attention to the mental pressure and emotional challenges of students preparing for competitive exams.
