A 16 year old child has created a sensation with his speed. In the 100 meter race, this young player missed breaking Usain Bolt’s record by just 0.46 seconds. Bolt set a world record in the 2009 World Athletics Championship by completing the 100 meter race in just 9.58 seconds. Australia’s 16-year-old Gout Gout took only 10.04 seconds to complete the race in the Under-18 All School Athletics Championship held in Queensland. Gout may not have been able to leave Bolt behind, but during this time he made a record.

Who is Gout?
Gout Gout was born on 29 December 2007 in Queensland, Australia. His parents are residents of South Sudan. He came and settled in Australia two years before his birth. Two years ago in 2022, Gout had made a national record in Australia’s under-16 100 meter and 200 meter race. At the age of 14, he completed the 100 meter race in just 10.57 seconds. After this, at the age of 15, Gout broke the under-18 men’s 200 meter record.
In 2023, he participated in the Junior Athletics Championship of Australia, where he completed the 200 meter race in just 20.87 seconds and won the final. In January this year, he broke his own record with a time of 20.69 seconds. Gout has also won Australia’s Under-20 title in April 2024 with a timing of 10.48 seconds. Not only this, he has also represented Australia in the Under-20 World Athletics Championship in August 2024. In this competition he won the silver medal in 200 meter race.
