A large number of monkeys died after eating a substance mixed with wheat in an FCI warehouse in Hathras district of Uttar Pradesh. Without informing the administration, the FCI warehouse workers buried the dead bodies of these monkeys by digging a pit in the warehouse premises itself. When some Hindu organization workers came to know about this incident, they went to the FCI warehouse and created a ruckus and demanded action.
As soon as the administration got information about this matter, ADM Sadar, SDM Sadar, CO reached the spot along with the city police force. When the warehouse employees were interrogated by the officials. At the same time, an employee posted as a technician in the FCI warehouse has told the administrative officials about the death of 145 monkeys. And without informing the administration, these monkeys were buried in the warehouse premises itself. The in-charge of the warehouse said that for the peace of the souls of the deceased monkeys, he will organize the recitation of Sunderkand in the premises on Saturday.
Order to investigate the matter
Administrative officials started investigating the entire matter. Officials said that the matter is being investigated and if necessary, the place where the monkeys’ bodies were buried will also be excavated. He said that if necessary, post-mortem of the monkeys will also be conducted. Administrative officials said that there was negligence somewhere.
Action will be taken against the accused employees
In this case, Rajesh Diwakar, husband of Hathras Municipal Council Chairman and former MP, also reached the spot. He said that there has been negligence in the matter, in respect of which the department will take action against the guilty employees. He has also told that the municipality will soon take action to catch the monkeys.
