Directed by actor Prithviraj Sukumaran, this film has now created another big history. It set a new record in earnings on the 11th day of release. Mohanlal and Prithviraj’s ‘L2 Empuran’ has now become the highest grossing film of Malayalam cinema. It has also crossed the worldwide figure of Rs 250 crore on Sunday.

In addition to directing the film, Prithviraj Sukumaran has also acted in it. Mohanlal is in the lead role. The film took an opening of about 65 crores worldwide and became the biggest opening Malayalam film. At the same time, after 11 days, L2 Emopuran has proved to be the most earning film in the history of Malayalam cinema so far.

‘Manjummel Boys’ record broken
Makers and Mohanlal shared a post on social media and informed that L2 Emopuran Worldwide has become the first Malayalam film to earn 250 crores. Earlier, the record of the highest grossing was recorded in the name of Manjummel Boys, the film Manjummel Boys, which had collected Rs 240.5 crore worldwide at the box office. The special thing is that more collections of Mohanlal’s film have been done abroad than India. The film has not earned even Rs 100 crore from India, while its earnings from abroad have been more than 150 crores.
100 crores can be made at domestic boss office on Monday
On Sunday, April 6, on the occasion of Ram Navami, L2 Empuran had the 11th day in theaters. In 10 days, the film collected 94.5 crores in India. At the same time, the film earned 3.97 crores on Sunday. Its total collection in India has been Rs 98.65 crore so far. It is expected that L2 Emopuran can become 100 crores at the Indian box office on Monday.
