10 policemen suspended from Mirapur to Kundarki, did Akhilesh take lead over BJP even before the results?

Assembly elections are being held in Maharashtra and Jharkhand, but Uttar Pradesh by-elections are being discussed in the entire country. The Election Commission has suspended 10 policemen on charges of negligence. The Election Commission has taken this action against the police on the basis of the complaint of Akhilesh Yadav and Samajwadi Party.

For the first time in the history of UP, action has been taken against such a large number of police officers in a by-election. In such a situation, the question is arising that what was the strategy of Akhilesh Yadav, due to which such a large number of police officers were killed simultaneously?

How was Akhilesh successful in creating pressure?

1. Became active himself, war room ready in Lucknow- Like the Lok Sabha elections, Akhilesh Yadav himself was seen taking the lead in this by-election of UP. Akhilesh had made the first post targeting the police at 8.14 in the morning. Akhilesh remained continuously vocal after this. Akhilesh posted about the rigging in Kundarki, Sisamau and Katehri.

Before the by-elections, SP had set up a war room type system in Lucknow. This was very useful for the party on the day of voting. Videos and photos were called from all the electoral areas in the war room. The same video and photos are also being sent to the Election Commission as evidence.

Many big leaders of SP including Akhilesh remained active from social media to the Commission’s office. Akhilesh himself spoke to the state election officer on phone. It is being said that when Akhilesh got assurance from here, he immediately went to hold a press conference.

Due to Akhilesh’s press conference, the Election Commission swung into action and decided to take action against those officials against whom prima facie serious allegations were made.

2. Activists were also seen fighting with the police. Seeing the leader active in Lucknow, SP workers were also seen holding the ground on the ground. Many such videos have surfaced in which SP workers and supporters are seen clashing with the police. The same video was also posted on SP’s Twitter handle.

Along with SP, Congress also appeared vocal on the government. Congress leaders were also seen putting pressure on the Commission by posting videos of the exploits of police officers.

Supreme Court lawyer Prashant Bhushan also cornered the Commission on the basis of this video. Bhushan said that for the first time in the country, police personnel are checking the identity cards of voters.

Akhilesh took lead before the result?

Out of the 9 assembly seats of UP for which by-elections are being held, Samajwadi Party had won 4 seats (Sisamau, Katehari, Kundki and Karhal) in 2022. Well, BJP had won in Ghaziabad and Phulpur, while RLD had won in Mirapur and Nishad Party had won in Majhwan.

After taking the lead in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Akhilesh is eyeing the 2027 assembly elections. In such a situation, it is important to maintain the lead on these seats. The way BSP was in a strong position in the by-elections and SP was not getting the support of Congress, it was being said that Akhilesh’s wishes could be dashed.

However, during the elections, Akhilesh pushed BJP on the backfoot with a strong front.

1. Whatever may be the results in UP now, Akhilesh and his party will declare themselves the winner by calling the entire election an election of administration. After the action against 7 policemen, BJP is not in a position to oppose it much.

2. By opening a front against the administration, Akhilesh has almost made the third axis of UP secondary. In this by-election, the position of BSP and Asaduddin Owaisi’s party was said to be strong on many seats, but now the discussion is only about BJP and SP.

Results of all seats will come on 23rd

The results of all 9 seats will be released on 23 November. This time, out of 9, BJP is contesting on 8 seats and RLD on one seat, while Samajwadi Party alone is contesting on 9 seats.

However, Akhilesh Yadav definitely has the support of Congress and Mamata Banerjee’s party in the elections. In Majhwan, Mamata Party leader Lalitesh Pati Tripathi has campaigned vigorously in favor of the SP candidate.
