Assembly elections are due in West Bengal next year, and political parties are preparing at their own level for the election. Before the election, there is a stir at the religious level there. Hinduist organizations have made a lot of preparations for Ramnavami. Meanwhile, senior BJP leader in West Bengal, Suvendu official said that rallies will be held at many places across the state on the day of Ram Navami (April 6), in which about 1.5 crore Hindus will participate.
At the BJP Yuva Morcha rally outside the state office of the Bharatiya Janata Party in Central Kolkata, Suvendu Adhikari requested Hindus to join the procession, chanting “Jai Shri Ram” to emphasize on his homes and emphasize Hindu identity.
Do not sit idle at home: officer
He called upon the people, saying, “At least 1.5 crore Hindu people will take to the streets on the holy day of Ram Navami. Do not sit in vain at home. You should show your strength. Also show that Hindus are united. This is the land of Swami Vivekananda, Swami Ramakrishna and mother Sharda. We will celebrate the festival of Ram Navami peacefully.”
BJP leader and former minister Suvendu Adhikari had earlier estimated that one crore Hindus would participate in around 2,000 rallies across the state, but today they changed the figure and revised it to 1.5 crores.
However, many parties are also protesting against Ram Navami rallies. While attacking the CPM to protest, the officer claimed, “CPM is not interested in protecting Hindu interests and identity. They are completely cut off from the ground reality.”
CPM vote will come to BJP: Officer
He also criticized the CPM for organizing a rally on the issue of Palestine, opposing the Ram Navami programs. He said, “After securing 9 seats in the last elections, the CPM will soon disappear from the political scenario of West Bengal.”
Senior BJP leader officer also predicted with full confidence that “the votes of family members of CPM leaders will come to the BJP account in the 2026 assembly elections. Even though the party leaders remain loyal to their ideology, there is no such obligation on their family members.”
Condemning the BJP calling the BJP a “Bharatiya Jumla Party”, the official said, “She has insulted the BJP representatives not only from Bengal and Parliament, but has also insulted the 2.33 crore voters who supported the BJP in the last general elections.”
