Zomato hikes platform fee to Rs 14.90: How it compares to Swiggy & Magicpin

New Delhi: Zomato has increased the platform fee by Rs 2.40 to Rs 14.90 per order, its app showed on Friday. The food aggregator charges the platform fee from the people ordering food via its the app. Customers are required to shell out Rs 14.90 on a pre-GST basis as Zomato platform fee. Earlier, the fee stood at Rs 12.50.

With Zomato increasing its platform fees, the customers ordering food will be marginally costlier for millions of users across the country.

The food aggregator hiked the platform fees at a time when crude oil prices are on the rise due to the West Asia conflict. Higher fuel costs are expected to drive up the cost of delivery operations.

Swiggy, another popular food aggregator, levies a charge of Rs 14.99 as platform fee inclusive of GST on its users.

Zomato hiked the platform fee across the country markets where the food aggregator Zomato operates. The firm had raised its platform fee in September 2025.

Meanwhile, magicpin, announced it will not increase its platform fee, which currently stands at Rs 14.20. Magicpin is third-largest food delivery player in the country.

“At a time when the food delivery ecosystem is navigating a tough phase with rising costs, we have consciously decided not to increase our platform fee to support our restaurant partners and keep food delivery accessible for customers,” Anshoo Sharma, CEO & Founder, magicpin, said.
