Did you know? Zendaya once watched a   film with her family in a theatre while trying to keep a low profile.

She told Fallon, “Yes, I have. One of the very early Spider-Man movies, me and my family snuck in in the back. That was really fun. I remember it was the last  premiere, it was so special because we knew that big Spider-Man were back. I remember knowing ‘Oh, it’s coming’ and then people, they don’t know.”

Zendaya said that getting to turn around and watch those reactions was really fun. She added that the movie-going experience was about enjoying something in a theatre with other people, and that it was very special.

On the show, she also spoke about the video, which showed her passionately explaining the complicated plot of   to her co-star Hunter Schafer. Zendaya joked that the original video was around 10 minutes long because she had gone into “very detailed” explanations of the movie’s twists and turns. The actress said she even used a cardboard box to map out the story while explaining it, leaving   and Schafer struggling to hold back their laughter.

Zendaya added that she genuinely loved the film and enjoyed breaking down its complex storyline. She also revealed that her admiration for Nolan grew further when Holland was cast as Telemachus in The Odyssey, which eventually led to her joining the film as Athena.

Recently, Holland revealed that Nolan allowed him to personally break the news of the Athena role offer to Zendaya. He recalled the smile on his wife’s face when she realised that the acclaimed director wanted her to be a part of his much-talked-about film.
