Television actor Ashish Kapoor, known for his roles in popular shows like Dekha Ek Khwaab, Saraswatichandra, Molkki – Rishto Ki Agnipariksha and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai , was arrested on rape charges from Pune.
He has now undergone a medical potency test at AIIMS.

According to news agency ANI and Delhi Police, the test report will serve as crucial evidence in the ongoing investigation. He has been sent to 14-day judicial custody by the Tiz Hazari district court. The actor, who was arrested in Pune earlier this week, has been accused by a 24-year-old woman of sexual assault. The complainant, who works for a private company and resides in Delhi’s Punjabi Bagh, initially alleged that Kapoor, along with his friend who hosted a party and two unidentified men, drugged her drink, gang-raped her, and even filmed the incident to blackmail her. A woman was also accused of physically assaulting her during the episode.
However, the case has seen evolving statements from the complainant. While it was initially registered as gang rape, the woman later stated that it was Kapoor alone who raped her. Authorities have confirmed that the case will be converted from gang rape to rape in due course.

A senior police officer earlier told Hindustan Times, “The team has been looking for him. He was earlier traced to Goa, but when the team reached, he slipped away. He was then traced to Pune, where he was found living with a friend and was arrested on Tuesday.”
