In many homes in India, there is a tradition of applying ubtan a day before Holi or after playing with colors, people apply ubtan before bathing. Actually, this was a great way for our elders to clean the skin and keep it healthy.
Making ubtan is not a very troublesome task. You just have to mix everything together. Many ingredients for making ubtan are easily available in your kitchen. So let’s see how to make traditional Ubtan for Holi and also know how you can apply it on your skin.
Ingredients of Ubtan
To make this paste, you will need gram flour, curd or raw milk, turmeric, lemon juice, almond or coconut oil. You can take all these things as per your need. For example, if you have taken 2 spoons of gram flour then take the same amount of curd. Turmeric should be taken in half its quantity. If the mixture is becoming too thick then raw milk or rose water can be used to make it smooth.
How to make Ubtan?
You have to take a big bowl. Sieve the gram flour in it. Mix curd in it. Add turmeric and also add oil. Mix all these things well with a spoon and make a smooth and thick paste. Add lemon juice in it as per requirement. Keep in mind that lemon juice should be used less, because it is acidic. If you have sensitive skin, avoid lemon juice. You can prepare this ubtan even a day before Holi.

How to apply ubtan?
You can apply this paste on your face and entire body. Leave it on for at least 15 minutes. When it dries up to 70 percent, take milk or rose water in your hands and massage in circular motion to remove the boil. After this take bath with lukewarm water. Apart from Holi, you can also use this paste every 15 days, which keeps the skin healthy.
