New Delhi: Rajasthan Royals fiery batter Vaibhav Sooryavanshi scripted yet another milestone during the team’s IPL 2026 clash against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Saturday. Sooryavanshi, who smashed a 15-ball half-century, became the youngest batter at 15 to reach 1000 runs in T20 cricket.
Sooryavanshi started off the innings on a blazing note smashing four sixes off Hyderabad bowler Praful Hinge in the very first over of the innings after the Royals were put into bat first by Hyderabad. He accumulated 20 runs in the first 6 balls and then moved on with the same pace to devastate the bowling attack of the opposition.

Third 15-ball fifty for 15-year-old
Earlier in the season, the left-handed batter had smashed a 15-ball fifty against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) as well making it his third half-century against a third franchise in as many balls. In fifth over of the innings, the RR batter was dropped on the boundary rope by SRH fielder Aniket even before reaching his fifty.
Meanwhile, at the time of filing this report, the Royals had reached 112/1 in 10 overs with Sooryavanshi unbeaten on 76 and Dhruv Jurel unbeaten on 25 runs.
