Young businessman Abhishek Alva committed suicide by jumping into the Shambhavi river.

Abhishek Alva, a young businessman from Puttur, committed suicide by jumping into the Shambhavi river near Mulki. He was missing since November 6 and his body was found near Bappanadu bridge. Mulki police have registered the case and started investigation.

Dakshina Kannada: A young businessman committed suicide by jumping into the Shambhavi river near Bappanadu bridge near Mulki. The name of the deceased is Abhishek Alva. He ran a hotel at Nellyadi in Puttur taluk of Dakshina Kannada district. Abhishek is the son of businessman Naveen Alva of the Thiruvail Gutthu family. He was missing since November 6 and now his body has been found in Shambavi river.

Abhishek Alva jumped into the river near Bappanadu

According to the police, Abhishek Alva had left the house on the night of 6 November. When the son did not return, his father Naveen Alva lodged a police complaint. Subsequently, Padubidre police registered a case and launched a search operation. On checking CCTV near Bappanadu, footage of his car passing was found. Later, his car was found near the bridge near Bappanadu. Then diver Ishwar Malpe was called to the spot and a search was carried out in the river till midnight. But his body was not found in the night.

Then this morning, a local youth named Sachin Nayak started searching the river in a boat. Meanwhile, Abhishek’s body was found near Chandra Shanubhagara Kudru. The body has been taken out and sent to a hospital in Mangaluru for postmortem. The cause of death is not yet known. A case has been registered in Mulki police station in this matter. Abhishek was very fond of Kambala and was very active in Thiruvail Gutthu Kambala. He was managing his father’s business.
