A woman was removed from the plane on an American Airlines flight after playing a loud video without headphones. He was thrown out after the crew ignored his request and created a ruckus. This incident happened under the airlines’ new strict policies.
Miami: A woman was removed from the plane by crew members for refusing to wear headphones on the flight and disturbing other passengers by playing videos at high volume. This incident happened on an American Airlines flight from Miami to Tampa. The woman was watching a video at high volume while sitting in the plane and she flatly refused to wear the headset. After this, the patience of the crew members ran out and they removed the woman from the flight, which left her shocked.
Crew showed the way out after watching loud video
A passenger traveling along recorded this entire incident in his mobile and posted it on TikTok. According to him, the woman was completely drunk. When she was asked to wear headphones while watching the video, she refused and continued watching the video at high volume.
According to the video shared on TikTok, “an intoxicated woman on an American Airlines flight from Miami to Tampa refused to use headphones and was playing a video on her phone at high volume,” X (formerly Twitter) user Colin Rugg reported in his post.
He further wrote that even before the plane left the gate, the flight attendant had asked the woman to use headphones. But the woman immediately got angry and started misbehaving. During this time, American Airlines employees handled the situation very well and were respectful at all times.
It can be seen in the viral video that when the crew members decided to take the woman off the plane, she got furious. In the video, she quarrels with the crew and says, “I was watching a 30-second video at 50 percent volume, and you will throw me out of the plane for this poor reason?” After this the police and flight staff took him out of the plane.
The incident comes days after United Airlines warned that passengers playing loud audio or video without headphones could be deplaned or banned from flying. In February, United Airlines updated its ‘refusal to transport’ policy. It explains the reasons due to which passengers may be prevented from boarding the plane.
According to the new rule, passengers who play audio or video content without headphones can be deboarded from the plane. Apart from this, many other reasons like attacking the flight crew or traveling barefoot have also been cited, due to which passengers can be thrown out of the plane.
